About

A globally accepted definition of Sustainable Materials has yet to be established. However, they are generally recognized for their ability to enhance process efficiency, reduce pollution, and minimize negative impacts on human health and the environment. The growing urgency of environmental challenges has heightened the demand for Sustainable Materials. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is accelerating the materials design process, spanning discovery, synthesis, characterization, and the novel properties and applications across strategic sectors such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, agriculture, healthcare, electronics, and energy. AI models are essential to drive the design of Sustainable Materials. The goal of the CNPEM-IBM School Sustainable Materials & AI is to train students and researchers in new AI technologies applied to the development of sustainable materials, fostering knowledge exchange between academia, innovative companies, and the industrial sector. The event also aims to promote multidisciplinary collaborations to enable science, technology and innovation with safety and sustainability.

Why attend

The event is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, researchers and scientists, as well as professionals (from public or private companies) working in the fields of artificial intelligence, computing, materials science, environmental sciences, toxicology, sustainability, and innovation.
