Bio

Allison Botros leads the Cleveland Clinic - IBM Discovery Accelerator which is a ten year partnership applying artificial intelligence and quantum computing to advance biomedical research. The global team includes workstreams focused on research, installation of a dedicated IBM Quantum System, education and outreach, communications and marketing, funds development and data governance.

Prior to this role, Allison co-led business strategy for IBM Research intellectual property organization, led the portfolio of solutions and assets for the consulting practice in IBM, led multiple strategy engagements for IBM internally and for external clients. Allison worked in business strategy consulting for Price Waterhouse and PricewaterhouseCoopers, prior to joining IBM though the acquisition in 2003.

Allison has received the IBM Research Accomplishment Award (2024), Red Dot Design Award (2023), IBM Research Outstanding Achievement Award (2022), and Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Award (2022), among other awards in her career.

She holds a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago and a bachelor's degree in economics from Northwestern University. She works in Cleveland, Ohio.
