Bio

Julien Chosson is currently serving as Canada Quantum Lead at IBM. In this pivotal role, Julien works closely with industry and political leaders. He spearheads the growth of IBM Quantum footprint in Canada and a strategic partnership through which we deployed the first IBM Quantum System One in Canada. The partnership has a particular emphasis on sustainability and climate initiatives.

Julien's journey to IBM is marked by entrepreneurial success and a deep commitment to impactful technology. He joined IBM after the successful acquisition of his startup by Dover Corporation. During his time as a startup leader, Julien and his team developed a groundbreaking foundation model specialized for the circular economy. This AI tool was instrumental in generating new data to inform and influence the design of future infrastructures for material recycling, showcasing his ability to translate complex technological concepts into real-world solutions. His entrepreneurial experience provided a unique opportunity to collaborate with eminent researchers and expand his expertise in the intersection of AI and sustainability.

With an MBA from EDHEC Business School in France, Julien brings a strong blend of business acumen and technical understanding to his work. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, sharing insights on the transformative potential of quantum technology and AI in addressing some of the most pressing environmental issues facing our society.
