Bio
Madoka Yamagami is an Advisory Technology Consultant at the IBM R&D Think Lab - Tokyo.
Career:Madoka began her career in IBM in 2008, as an Infrastructure Engineer, responsible for building and maintaining cloud-based systems for clients in the financial, construction, and IT industries. From 2017, she led projects involving deep learning technology for both proof-of-concept and production system development, as well as AI talent development programs at client companies. In 2023, she joined IBM’s Research and Development division as a Technology Consultant, engaging in research and development of IBM’s advanced technologies and promoting their business value. Currently, she is responsible for client engagements in the domestic manufacturing sector and overseas educational institutions, in addition to giving lectures and organizing IBM Research events inside and outside the company.
Education:Madoka has a B.A. in Contemporary Society from Kyoto Women’s University, and Junior and High School Teaching Licenses in Socials Studies and Civics, respectively.

Madoka is passionate about creating innovative culture, holding Design Thinking Workshops both internally and externally to IBM. In 2017, she led a Millennials Community that designed and built a new concept meeting room in the IBM Japan HQ.
