Prattyush Mangal

I am a Software Engineer working towards AI enriched Materials Discovery as part of the IBM Research UK team, based in Hursley UK. I currently, lead a team investigating how we can apply Foundation Models, in particular, Large Language Models, to help accelerate Materials Discovery in industry.

After completing a MMath degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, I joined IBM’s graduate program in 2020 and have held several roles across IBM including a System Verification Testing Engineer, DevOps Engineer and Full-Stack Engineer. I have developed specialist knowledge in Kubernetes, Kafka and various DevOps tools as well as frontend frameworks and enjoy working in IBM’s creative environment to tackle interesting problems.
