Sandi Besen is an AI Research Engineer and Ecosystem Lead at IBM Research, where she focuses on AI Agents and Applied AI within the product incubation team. In her current role, Sandi leads partnerships and developer advocacy while maintaining a hands-on approach to building applications that demonstrate new research capabilities. Her work bridges the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical implementation, helping to translate complex technical innovations into accessible solutions for diverse audiences.

Sandi holds a Master's degree in Data Science from the University of Miami. Her unique professional journey includes a career transition from professional classical singer to into STEM, bringing a distinctive perspective to her technical work.
