A 40-Gb/s, 850-nm, VCSEL-Based full optical link
Abstract
We report a complete VCSEL optical link operating at 40-Gb/s (BER<10-12) with an eye opening of 0.56 UI and 6 dB of link margin. Transmitter pre-distortion enables substantial improvements in speed, jitter, and link margin. © 2011 Optical Society of America.
