Color printing technologies

The rapid emergence of color in the next five years will necessitate significant growth in the present technologies to generate quality output. An overview will be given of the existing color technologies and some of the major technical advances required for future growth. The emphasis here will be on the marking engine technologies, specifically on the leading ones, i.e., thermal, ink jet, and electrophotography.
