DESIGN ASSESSMENT: ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SYSTEMS.

This report summarizes current research on the development of a design assessment tool for electromechanical systems. We review the state-of-the-art in bond graphs, numerical solution of stiff differential equations, analysis of stochastic systems, and general purpose continuous simulation packages. We describe a proposed method for automating the generation of state equations and treatment of stochastic parameters.
