DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF THE NOZZLE/MENISCUS FLUID SYSTEM IN A DROP-ON-DEMAND INK-JET ORIFICE.
Abstract
This paper explores the generic kinematic properties of the meniscus fluid system inside a DOD ink jet orifice; properties such as natural frequency, spectral characteristics and control parameters governing its dynamic behavior. The findings lend themselves readily to the understanding of the general requirements on the drive pressure pulse for efficient drop generation.
