Further molecular orbital studies relating to PMDA-ODA polyimide surfaces and interfaces

Abstract

The present paper is involved with the interpretation of the chemical behavior observed at polyimide surfaces and interfaces. A computational effort has been devoted to examining changes in the vibrational spectrum of the PMDA-ODA polymeric repeat unit during the initial stages of chromium metal deposition. The results of the vibrational calculations are discussed in connection with recently obtained vibrational data from an analysis of the EELS spectrum.
