HARVEST: An intelligent visual analytic tool for the masses

We present an intelligent visual analytic system called HARVEST. It combines three key technologies to support a complex, exploratory visual analytic process for non-experts: (1) a set of smart visual analytic widgets, (2) a visualization recommendation engine, and (3) an insight provenance mechanism. Study results show that HARVEST helped users analyze a corpus of text documents from a corporate wiki. © 2010 ACM.
