Investigation of the initiation behavior of a dendritic 12-arm initiator in atom transfer radical polymerization

The initiation behavior of a dendritic 12-arm atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) initiator was studied. The number of initiated arms were found to increase with an increase in molecular weight of the arms. The minimum molecular weight to ensure complete initiation was found to depend on the reaction conditions.
