Measured performance of transport service in LANs

This paper attempts to organize, explain, and compare performance results reported for various implementations of a transport service realized by different protocols: OSI TP4/CLNS, TCP/IP, NETBLT, and VMTP. The study concentrates on the throughput and delays achieved in local-area networks. © 1989.
