MICROCOMPUTER LABORATORY WORKSTATION CONSIDERATIONS IN A HOST/DISTRIBUTED ENVIRONMENT.

Abstract

Microcomputer laboratory workstations have taken over many functions traditionally performed by minicomputers. Their uses in a host/distributed environment give rise to the issues of distribution of functions and interconnection. These considerations and examples of implementation using IBM microcomputers in a R & D host/distributed environment are discussed.
