Mobility-dependent charge injection into an organic semiconductor

The mobility in the amorphous organic semiconductor PC was varied and the current injected from an ITO electrode measured. It was found that the current is proportional to the mobility. At all concentrations, the ITO/PC contact remained injection limited in its ability to supply charge to the organic layer.
