Null orbital frustration at the pseudogap boundary in a layered cuprate superconductor
Abstract
Using interlayer tunneling transport in pulsed magnetic fields up to 60 T, the relative importance of orbital frustration at a pseudogap closing field was analyzed. The field-temperature phase diagram for fields parallel and normal to the layered structure of a bismuth compound was tracked. The anisotropy of the pseudogap closing field temperature was found to be independent and small as compared to the large orientational anisotropy of the superconducting state related to the orbital motion of Cooper pairs. The correlations of the spin channel were in accordance with the obtained Zeeman relation with the pseudogap temperature.
