Phased development of a Web-based PACS viewer
Abstract
The Web browser is an environment for the rapid development of an effective and inexpensive picture archiving and communication system (PACS) viewer. A browser-based viewer is developed, from the inception and prototype stages to its current state of maturity. The many potential advantages to a browser-based viewer, even when native viewers already exist in the system, are discussed.
