Toward high-performance electronics based on carbon nanomaterials
Abstract
Single-walled carbon nanotubes are promising to replace silicon as the channel material for high-performance electronics near the end of silicon scaling roadmap, due to their superb electrical properties and intrinsic ultrathin body. Despite the remarkable progress of CNT device and circuit developments recently, many challenges are still required to be overcome in order to realize a practical logic technology. In this invited talk, the progress on both CNT device, material processing, and circuit integration will be reviewed. I will also discuss most significant challenges from technology points of view.
