Towards flexible service interoperation using business artifacts

This short survey describes recent and on-going work in the area of "business artifacts", an approach to business process modeling centered around a holistic combination of data and process. This includes research aiming to enable support for service interoperation that is much more flexible than current SOA-based approaches. © 2011 IEEE.
