Computer Anxiety (CA) can be defined as fear and worries that someone may feel when using computers. People with CA may not be able to perform certain tasks, get frustrated and give up when they find user interfaces that are complicated or require knowledge about patterns and symbols used on computing systems. Therefore, the present work describes a web browser plugin that considers interaction data (e.g., mouse, keyboard, and system events) to infer high levels of CA during interaction. In addition, it provides user interface simplification based on predefined set of rules –based on previous field studies involving 74 older adults– as a way to support people with CA and reduce its impacts.
