Workshop: Creating and refining knowledges, identities, and understandings in on-line communities

A workshop on creating and refining knowledges, identities and understandings in on-line communities was presented. Formal and observable artifacts such as documents and charts were studied. It was found that there is a need to understand the diversity of settings and purposes of the on-line communities.
