Bio

Akira Koseki is a senior researcher at IBM Research - Tokyo. He has been technically leading insurance and healthcare related AI research projects for years.

His research areas include AI techniques to model medical and healthcare proceses such as disease progression from real world electronic health records. His research team has published research papers on disease progression prediction technology for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, chronic kidney diseases, and clinical nutrition management.

He has been working for Systems research inclusing middleware performance and Java JIT compiler.

He received a Ph.D. from Waseda University in 1998 for his work on Compiler for Pararrel Architecture. He is a member of IPSJ.
