Bio
Ashok Pon Kumar manages the Hybrid Cloud Platforms team in IBM Research, India. He is the creator of Konveyor Move2Kube, a opensource tool which accelerates the process of replatforming to Kubernetes. In his over 13 years with IBM, he has also lead multiple research efforts spanning from Hybrid Cloud, AI for jewellery, cognitive environments, software engineering and smarter energy .
He has also been awarded the Master Inventor award, Outstanding Technical Achievement Award and many other recognitions in IBM. He also has multiple patents, publications and book chapters in various domains. Before joining IBM, he graduated from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai.
