Erich Nahum

I am interested in all aspects of experimental networked systems performance. My current focus is on applying Foundation Models to Networking.  My research includes work on IoT, middleboxes, NFV, wireless, mobility, Multi-Path TCP, DHCP, SIP, HTTP, Instant Messaging, TCP/IP, workload characterization, workload generation, overload control, dynamic content, clusters, multiprocessors, operating systems, and security.

I received a Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1996, and my M.S in 1991. I was a member of the Computer Networks Research Group, led by my advisors Jim Kurose and Don Towsley.

I received my B.A. in Computer Science from The University of Wisconsin in 1988. My undergraduate advisor was Bart Miller.
