Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, Brazil), with AI-based research focused on machine learning fairness, bias mitigation, and evaluation practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computational Mathematics, a degree based on computer science and applied mathematics, from the same university (UFMG). Member of the Black in AI community; a place to share ideas, foster collaborations, and discuss initiatives to increase the presence of Black people in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Workshop organizer at top-tier AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, and NAACL, as chair organizer of the Black in AI affinity group. Advocate for more women in STEAM.
