Stefano is a Senior Research Engineer and Technical Lead for Data Privacy at the IBM Research center in Dublin, Ireland.
Stefano received BS, MS and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Insubria, Italy. His Ph.D. thesis focused on improvements to Trust Negotiations, an access control mechanisms designed to operate in P2P environments.
From September to November 2008 Stefano worked as temporary research assistant at College of Information Science, Pennsylvania State University.
Between February 2011 and July 2011 Stefano worked as a research assistant at DICOM (Department of Computer Science and Communication) of the University of Insubria, Italy.
Between July 2011 and January 2013 Stefano worked as research fellow of SANDS (S* Aspects of Network an Distributed Systems) group at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he worked on several thematics, mainly related to federated social networks and team recommendation.
Finally, prior to joining IBM Research Stefano was working as post-doctoral research at DERI (Digital Enterprise Research Institute), National University of Ireland, Galway, working on access control mechanisms for linked data.
