Physica E: Low-Dimensional Systems and Nanostructures
We have performed first-principles calculations of the angle-resolved inverse photoemission (momentum-resolved bremsstrahlung spectroscopy) from Ni(111). The single-step theory for inverse photoemission was used in connection with an ab initio self-consistent potential for ferromagnetic nickel. The calculated spectra agree quite well with experiment and the critical points X4 and L1 are determined at 2 and 6 eV above the Fermi level. © 1984 The American Physical Society.
