EVIDENCE FOR NONLINEAR GENERATION OF VUV LIGHT BY FOUR-WAVE PARAMETRIC OSCILLATION (FWPO) IN H2-CONTA!NING CLOUDS NEAR B-TYPE SUPERGIANTS

The few dozen ~ 100-enr '-wide emission bands that dominate archived VUV spectra of B-type supergiant stars in the range 900-1200 A are reasonably assigned as fourth legs of H2 four-wave parametric oscillation (FWPO) processes occurring in clouds near the stars.
