Irina Espejo Morales

Irina is a Research Intern in the Accelerated Discovery & AI group at IBM Research Europe - Zürich. She obtained her PhD in Data Science at New York University in 2023 and collaborated with the ATLAS Experiment at CERN. She was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship during 2018-2020 and a DeepMind Fellowship in 2019. She also has a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics by the University of Oxford and a bachelor in Physics+Mathematics by Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. She is interested in AI applications for Science and multimodal foundational models.
